This has to be one of the most enjoyable engagement sessions we have done lately. Jen and Caitlin wanted to shoot with snow, which at the time seemed difficult to schedule...hard to believe at this point!!! We love working with couples on their engagement sessions, it is one of our favorite parts of our job. Getting to know each couple on a personal level and spending time with them, and although everyone starts out a little nervous, we try making them feel as comfortable as possible so their personalities can shine through.
This session was no exception, getting to spend the day with Jen, Caitlin and their puppy Holly, was awesome and seeing these two interact was beautiful. The love they share is so apparent and their smiles and laughs were infectious. Later, reading their blog form and hearing more about their back story made me then feel like I have known them for years! I have to admit I may have shed a tear or two... :) It made it more special reading it after seeing first hand how in love they are! I was so impressed with the planning they both put into the proposals that I felt I couldn't do it justice in my own words. Here is their story according to Jen and Caitlin...
"Jen's proposal to Caitlin was a scavenger hunt a couple days prior to Easter 2014. Caitlin woke up to an empty house and powder (bunny) foot prints all over the floor. She then found a hand-made scavenger hunt list, which lead to several clues and locations, and 3 suspenseful hours to complete! The last stop was in the Foxboro National State Park where we take our dog, Holly, hiking. Caitlin found Jen on the top of a gigantic rock formation with the biggest bouquet of flowers Caitlin had ever seen and a beautiful shining ring. Jen asked and Caitlin said yes!
Caitlin proposed a few weeks later in the backyard of their shared home. Caitlin and her friend spent several hours putting up lights, making tin lanterns for candles, and setting a romantic table for two the night prior. Caitlin finished up all the last minute details just in the nick of time as Jen was pulling into the driveway coming home from a 4-day work trip from Seattle, Washington. Jen was greeted by a sign on the door telling her to go down to the basement and out the sliding door, where she found Caitlin on one knee. Caitlin asked and Jen said yes, too!"
I hope you enjoy the sneak peek! We can't wait to show you more!
