We had such a great time with Vivian and Derek on their engagement shoot in Boston! They had a clear idea as to spots they wanted to hit and I think we were able to hit them all, even getting a little bit of a history lesson from a security guard on the way!!!!
We started out in the Boston Public Library, a favorite of many couples for it's beauty and architecture but was a special place for Vivian and Derek, as they spent many hours studying in that gorgeous reading room! It's so funny, because normally it takes a little bit for couples to settle in and feel comfortable in front of the camera, so the first shots aren't usually some of the best ones but that was not the case this time! As we were about to go up the stairs to the reading room a lull in foot traffic all of a sudden came, allowing us to quickly set them on the stairs and take a shot! The back lighting that came through those amazing Courtyard windows and hit them so perfectly on the steps, made this first shot one of my favorites. I love the variety from that first, romantic shot to the last one, where they are clearly more relaxed and just enjoying each other. The laughter that comes through in this shot is infectious! We had so much fun and can't wait for their wedding at the Taj next August! I hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek!
