When you choose to shoot engagement photos in Boston over Marathon weekend, you have to be ready to see some runners. I met Le Anna and Tyler close to the Mass Ave Bridge for our shoot on the Friday before the Marathon. When we walked over the bridge it was hard to find a clear spot with all the runners out and I love this first shot capturing this great couple as well as a happy guest! We then walked over to Fenway Park to be met with a equally large game day crowd.
I had an incredible time with Tyler and Le Anna's engagement photography. I can't wait for their wedding. Here is a little snaek peek from our shoot as well as some word from the couple about their story!
How did you two meet?
Tyler and Le Anna met over a tequila shot at Cask'n Flagon near Fenway Park.
Tell us the proposal story~
Tyler proposed to Le Anna in front of the Royal Palace in Madrid, Spain on 9/4/17 while they were on a vacation.
What details are you most excited about for your wedding?
We are most excited about how symbolic the wedding will be in our relationship, and are really looking forward to celebrating 33 floors up overlooking one of our first date sites (Faneuil Hall for the Tree Lighting).
Where are you getting married? St. Leonard's Church
Where is the reception? Harborside Salon at 60 State Street
What look were you going for in your engagement session?
We chose two outfits for our engagement session, the first was more formal - we wanted something sophisticated and timeless. The second was more fun and meaningful to us as a couple. There was one summer we practically lived at Fenway park, are both Sox fans, and reminisce sometimes about some of the best summertime games watching the Sox. Furthermore, we both cannot wait to watch the Sox play the Houston Astros on Sunday 9/9/18 (the day after our wedding at Fenway Park), and wanted to tie that into the engagement shoot.
Do you have any tips or advice for couples getting ready for their session?
Don't worry about the day! There are a lot of things you can't control (weather being one of them). Just remember what is important (your significant other), and enjoy the moment!
How was your overall session experience?
We had a great time at the session! The experience was informative and a good practice run for the big day!
