I had a fantastic time trekking up to the White Mountains with Blair and Alex. We completely lucked out with such beautiful weather by the time we reached Cathedral Ledge. My entire drive from Boston was simply grey sky’s and had me worried. I loved the images we were able to create together.
Here are a few sneak peeks and some words from the couple about their story!
How did you two meet?
It was the summer of 2014. I had just moved to Seattle for an Airport Operations internship after graduating from college in Nashville, TN. Alex was living in Philadelphia, recently relocated from New Hampshire to pursue a career with American Airlines as a Flight Attendant. We had been mutual friends on social media for about a year before he asked to meet for coffee during one of his work trips to Seattle. We clicked immediately. After dating long distance for a few months, we decided to relocate to Charlotte, NC to further pursue our careers and to travel Europe. Two years later, we relocated to Houston, TX so Alex could follow his lifelong dream of becoming an air traffic controller. Fast forward to 2018 and now we’re engaged!
Tell us the proposal story~
A few months prior to our four year anniversary, Alex and I had planned a mini vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a few days. Little did I know he was going to propose! We had a moment to ourselves on a balcony overlooking the ocean when he surprised me by asking me to be his wife, and I said: “of course.”
What details are you most excited about for your wedding?
We are foodies, so definitely the food! We are also excited to share the day with our close family and friends.
Where are you getting married?
The Bostonian Hotel.
What look were you going for in your engagement session?
Alex and I wanted something unique that reflects us as a couple, so we chose to have an intimate session in the mountains. We also wanted a vastly distinctive setting from that of our wedding in the North End.
Do you have any tips or advice for couples getting ready for their session?
Choose something that is unique to you as a couple and go with it! If you’re stressed or worried about posing, just relax, have fun, and focus on channeling your affection toward your other half. Your love for each other will be even more prominent in your photos.
How was your overall session experience?
Christian was incredibly accommodating to our requests for the engagement session. We had chosen the White Mountains, which was quite the trek for all of us. We met at a coffee shop beforehand where we shared stories of traveling abroad. For the shoot, Christian walked us through each photo and gave us posing guidelines. He is extremely talented. We are looking forward to having him capture our wedding day!
