Sophia and Michael's beautiful wedding at the Lakeview Pavilion

I don't think we have worked with a more laid back and calm couple than Sophia and Michael.  From the minute we showed up to Michael, at his family home for getting ready shots, the vibe was so serene.  Even when they thought there may have been a scheduling error, his response was almost shockingly nonchalant.  And he was right, because it turned out to be an absolutely perfect day, including the weather which had forecasts of rain that never showed.

Sophia was concentrating on not crying, promising her makeup artist she wouldn't wash off all of her hard work, with her tears of joy.   She looked stunning andagain, had this calm demeanor that was infectious.  I don't know that we have ever had a more relaxed wedding day!

Watching these two getting ready to see each other in the church was so emotional and touching, they are obvious soul mates and we were blessed to document this amazing start to their new lives together!  Here is the day of slideshow we showed at the incredible Lakeview Pavilion during their reception, thank you to all of the amazing staff and other vendors we worked with on the day!

Chealyn & John

When Chealyn had originally contacted us, she mentioned that her and her husband would like some pictures together with their boat.  John, her husband loves getting up early, when all of us are still tucked cozily in bed, to make the hour drive from Cambridge, where they live, to where his boat is waiting for him.  It's his way to relax and get away from all the day to day stresses, in hopes of catching the tuna that has seemed to escape him so far this year.

We were of course ecstatic to be able to work in such a beautiful environment and try to capture the obvious love this couple has for each other and the boat that they enjoy going out on together.  Soon they will be off for their new venture, leaving the state of Massachusetts, where they have called home since college, and starting out new back in New York, where they both were from.  We wish you all the luck and hope these images were able to capture your lives and love here in Boston, so that you can look back and remember all the wonderful times you had here!

This was a crazy weekend

I write often about how blessed I am to get to do what I do, but this weekend was amazing and exhausting.  I not only met with future clients but I also had a few shoots as well.

This is Maryna & Andrew.  They were so much fun and let me do what ever I wanted.  I love working with a couple that's open to working to get the most out of our images.  This is the first one I've completed.  Hope they like it!  More to come...

Christian Pleva Images Studio is open!

After a lot of work and paint the studio in the North End of Boston is now open.  Just a couple little touch ups and items to install.  The space is fantastic.  I'm truly blessed to have this space to both work in and meet with my clients.  So here are just a few shots. Once the sign is up I'll post the street view.  Right now the outside is a little plain.  Thanks for the look!

Proposal at the Nubble Lighthouse!

This was one of the best opportunities I've had working with couples!  I met James the other day when he came into my studio looking for a picture frame. He had been working on a fantastic plan to propose to his longtime girlfriend Danielle.  James wanted to frame a sign that said "Will you marry me" while he would be standing out of sight, in front of the Nubble Lighthouse.  Amazing...

Unfortunately I don't sell frames but I offered to be there to document the "Question" .  A few days later James was back and we set it in motion.  I have to say this is what I love the most about my job.  I get to not only witness, but share in some of the most important moments anyone can have.  This day was no different.

I am truly blessed to be able to do what I do.  Thank you so much James and Danielle for allowing me to share this moment and most of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Here is the first shot.  More to come...
